I am always excited by opportunities to work alongside communities to create and compose new work together.
Remote Composer in Residence with Live & Local: as part of Live & Local’s LivingRoom programme I worked with members of the Church Lawford and King’s Newnham community in Warwickshire to compose three songs about the villages’ response to lockdown – what had they lost and what had they gained as a result of COVID-19.
The result was three original songs: New to Zoom; Lockdown; When the Bells Fell Silent.
As Creative Composer in Residence for Wiltshire Music Connect I am working to ensure children have more opportunities to enjoy being creative through music. So far, I have composed ‘Together’ with musician Tim Gilvin and I have created a series of resources for schools across Wiltshire to use, supporting teachers to compose and write songs linked to the National Curriculum.
