Released 6pm on Wednesday 8th September 2021 this music video explores explores themes which sit at the heart of all my work – equality, representation and social justice. The song is part of my production ‘Florence‘ and also forms the basis of my innovative street theatre project ‘Pop-Up Pedestal’; her first ever piece of outdoor theatre devised in 2021.
Shot on location at Claydon House, I am dressed as a statue of Florence Nightingale and as an NHS healthcare hero exploring the relevance of Florence Nightingale’s work as a campaigner and activist to everyday life in 2021. Florence visited Claydon House (now owned by the National Trust) regularly to work on her books and papers; her sister Parthenope lived at Claydon following her marriage to Sir Harry Verney.
